For an upcoming project I needed a falkonet like it is used in the feature film "Il delle armi mestiere" (2001, E. Olmi, engl: The Profession of Arms). The Falkonet was build out of a plastic profile which was carved and some very thin pieces of masking tape with a converted carriage and extra wheels. Overall, a pretty mixof several pieces out of different sets.
The conversion of the carriage was more difficult. The mount was cut apart and all middle connectors were trimmed. I had to rework it twice. I should have preferred the carriage of Revells Imperial artillery instead of the Call to Arms Royalist Artillery one. Because this is actually slightly smaller and less adjustments whould have be needed. Hindsight is easier than foresight.
The wheels are from the set of Zevzda Swedish Artillery Charles XII. The model was painted with the XV-88 of GW and then aged with some metal color and a brown Washing. The tube was painted in metal and got a slight Washing in black and sepia and got a light drybrush with a lighter metall color.
